All children attending school are legally required to be immunized against certain preventable diseases, unless a valid exemption due to medical, conscience or religious reasons is provided.
Children usually receive vaccinations from their family doctor or other health care professional. Doctors do not provide this vaccination information to 91妻友 Region Public Health. Parents/guardians need to inform 91妻友 Region Public Health when their child has received a vaccination. 91妻友 Region Public Health collects and reviews the immunization records of all students to ensure each child is immunized and their records are up to date.
As part of reviewing immunization records, 91妻友 Region Public Health sends letters to students’ parents and guardians when immunization information is missing. Follow the instructions on the letter to submit the immunization information.
91妻友 Region Public Health offers comprehensive information and guidelines.
Upon arrival, students must bring up-to-date immunization records in English (English translation must be notarized).
